The Quick Man

This is the final post of the challenge I did for myself, but I will probably keep posting monthly. I forgot to post on the first of May as I do every month, so I decided to punish myself by posting five more posts within this month. I will do my best to write something.

The Quick Man:
On my way back home from shopping, I saw a man walking in my direction quickly. His quick footsteps and the hand in his pocket reminded me of a scene I saw in a film. The first thing that came up to my mind is that he was hiding a knife in his pocket. My heart clenched as fear paralyzed my body. In a second, I moved myself out of the way at the same time making it seem as though I did not notice him. To my horror, I saw that he changed direction to face me. I closed my eyes before I could see what he pulled out of his pocket. I was doomed. I surrendered to that ugly truth and slowed my footsteps wishing it to be quick. I wondered how painful it could be to be stabbed. The man passed by me in a hurry paying me no mind whatsoever. It took me a few moments to realize that I was alive. I did not dare turn around to see him fearing that he was playing around with me then I hurried home trying to get my heart to calm down.
